Hey there!
I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself. I’m a 20-something woman who has experienced chronic illness and overcome various traumas in life. I understand the struggles of mental health and the difficulty in finding the right tools and resources to address those issues. Throughout my healing journey, I’ve discovered numerous free resources and techniques that have helped me maintain my sanity.
My goal is to support you in managing your mental health more effectively. Therapy is a significant step, but I’ve learned that it’s not just about enrolling and expecting everything to magically fall into place. Setting clear goals for each session is crucial. Looking back, I wish I had been more structured and had a better understanding of what I wanted to work on.
I won’t claim to be an expert or have all the answers in mental health. Like everyone else, I’m continuously learning and trying to figure things out. My aim is to share what I learn and help others along the way.
What is World of Words about?
As a digital marketer, I always wanted to start a blog, but I struggled to find the right topic. Mental health became an option, but due to my own fragile state of mind, I postponed the idea. However, over the past few years, people around me, especially my incredible best friend, encouraged me to create a blog discussing these essential topics. With their support, I named the blog “World of Words” because I believe in the power of words to make a positive impact.

Why is my consistency not great?
I absolutely love writing! Since I was a young girl, writing and drawing have felt like an innate part of me. Life took a funny turn, and I ended up in the digital marketing and design field. However, on a personal level, I face the daily challenges of two chronic illnesses — IBD and RA. These conditions present their own obstacles that impact my daily activities. I attribute my inconsistency, particularly in maintaining a regular posting schedule, to my RA. Extended use of electronic devices causes significant pain in my fingers and wrists.
My doctor advises against repetitive actions like typing and scrolling for extended periods. While I’m exploring assistive technology, I find that my ideas flow best when I’m typing and looking at the keyboard, so adjusting to alternatives is taking some time.
Why should you follow me?
Now, the most important question: why should you follow me? I understand that there are many other accounts, blogs, and professionals discussing similar topics. However, my aim is to provide you with as many free resources as possible. Occasionally, I may share paid resources, but I only endorse what I have personally tried and tested. I won’t promote something without a genuine understanding of its effectiveness. In a world filled with countless apps and misleading information, I strive to bring you reliable and trustworthy content.
Mental health has always held a special place in my heart. It’s been a sensitive topic for me since childhood due to societal taboos surrounding my birthmark. I’ve faced teasing, bullying, and sympathy from others, making it difficult to form genuine connections. I focused on protecting myself from society’s cruelty and believe I did a good job considering the challenges I encountered.
Please take a moment to share a bit about yourself and let me know which topics and resources would be most helpful to you. Remember, this account is dedicated to helping you! Don’t forget to leave a comment, like this article, and follow me to stay updated. Bye!
